Westminster Councilman Convicted of DUI

Orange County - Westminster Councilman Andy Quach was convicted of DUI / misdemeanor drunk driving on Wed.

On Aug 2, he was charged with DUI / drunk driving, his car crashed into a pole knocking out power to about 300 homes.

Quach was sentenced to three years of probation, alcohol education program, community service, fine and other fees and penalties.

Quach was charged with misdemeanor DUI / driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the infuence with blood alcohol content of over 0.08 percent and an enhancement for having blood alcohol content higher than 0.20 percent at driving. He had blood alcohol content of 0.26 percent after the crash, over three times the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
